The 2nd Baronet of Sutton, Beds, & Wraxall, Warws; took a prominent part in the Civil War on the side of the King; absent, abroad, during the Inter-regnum, when his father died; returned to Wroxall, 1661; repaired the church there, 1663 & dedicated 60 acres of park-land around the family mansion; buried 21 Sep 1677.
Roger marr 1stly, Anne SNELLING, by whom issue a son & heir John BURGOYNE, & inter alia, a daughter Judith BURGOYNE, wife of Robert PIGOTT of Dysart, Queen's County, Ireland.
Sir Roger marr 2ndly, Ann ROBINSON; she died 5 Feb 1694.
