Jerry D. Ballard, 66, died September 1, 2002, at Mallory House. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. He was born May 24, 1936, at Idaho Falls, to Theodore William Ballard, Sr. and Edna Ackerman. He grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Emerson Elementary, O. E. Bell Jr. High, and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He also graduated from University of Idaho and served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army.

Except for his college years, he was a lifelong resident of Idaho Falls. He married Adrianne L. Sargis December 17, 1980, at Idaho Falls. He owned and operated the Idaho Falls Foundry with his brother, Ted. Adrianne died July 28, 2000. He loved golf and spending time with his family, friends, and dogs.
