Paula Leah (Sossen) Lawson, 49, of Middletown, beloved wife of Richard A. Lawson Jr. passed away suddenly Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, at her home. Born in Boston, Mass., she was the daughter of Harold S. Sossen of Marblehead, Mass. and Rhea (Kovar) Sossen of Belmont, Mass.
Paula had lived in Middletown since 1996, was employed at Wesleyan University as the Associate Provost, was a member of Congregational Adath Israel Synagogue in Middletown where she was on the board of directors and served as secretary of the board. Paula was a very devoted woman, spending her time with family, work and involvement in the synagogue.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, at 1 p.m. at Congregational Adath Israel Synagogue, 48 Old Church St., Middletown and interment will follow in Adath Israel Cemetery, Pine Street, Middletown.
