Geneva Freeman Decker passed away Friday, May 29, 2009 at North Park Nursing Home in Evansville at age 82. She was born May 1, 1927 in Poplar Bluff, MO to the late Lee & Julie (Roark) Freeman. She worked for Zenith TV Company for a few years. She was devoted to her church. Known as 'Mrs. Shorty', she enjoyed cooking, especially her favorite dish-chicken & dumplings

She is survived by her husband of 64 years Jesse Decker, sisters Georgianne Clark and Doris Lee Fitzwater of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and Sue Houghland of Ironton, Missouri. Brother Leslie Freeman of Aransas Pass, Texas. Son and Daughter-in-law Albert and Marian Decker of Evansville; Daughter Kathy Owens of Evansville. 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Chester Freeman.

Services will be held at Browning Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Pullum Officiating.

Burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetery in Evansville.
