ENCINITAS - Earl L. Hehn Jr., 83, died at home Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002. Born Oct. 1, 1918 in Newark, N.J., he lived in Encinitas for 24 years. He retired after 30 years in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Hehn was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Hehn, on April 3, 2002. He is survived by three daughters, Gloria H. Weir of Sunnyvale, Sharman M. Rasmus of Encinitas, and Dana H. Iselin of Charleston, S.C.; two sons, Gregory R. Hehn of DeSoto, Texas, and Jeffrey A. Hehn of Burton, Ohio; brother Brandon Hehn of Hopkinton, Mass.; and three grandchildren. A private cremation was held. Inurnment will be in Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. El Camino Memorial Encinitas Chapel is handling arrangements. (North County Times, August 28, 2002)
