William T. Lee, a farmer in the Scio area for many years, died Sunday at his home three miles south of town. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. V. L. Loucks. Burial was in Miller Cemetery. The Harry Lowe funeral home of Lebanon was in charge.
Singers were Mrs. A. E. Westernhouse and Mrs. Loucks, accompanied by Mrs. Glen Thurston. Bearers were Boone Brown, George Griffin, Gilbert McDonald, Lawrence Montgomery, E. D. Myers and E. Phillips. Mrs. Jerry Walter, Mrs. Arch Ray and Mrs. Riley Montgomery arranged the flowers.
Mr. Lee was born in Iowa on March 25, 1856 but had lived in the Scio community 41 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include the widow, Ella J. Lee, five sons and two daughters The sons are John, Hubert, Ray, Earl, and L.G. Lee; the daughters, Mrs. Ed Bilyeu near Scio and Mrs. Carl Lucas, Philomath.
