George Sissel, age 84, of Highlandville, died July 23, 1995 in Cox Medical Center, South, Springfield. He was born September 28, 1910, in Stone County, and was the son of John and Louisia Mosier Sissel.

He served his country in the U.S. Army, receiving the Bronze Star. Mr. Sissel was a carpenter and member of the Highlandville Assembly of God Church. He was a member or American Legion Post #434.

Survivors include his wife, Burel Moore Sissel; a son, Danny Sissel and his wife, Karen, Highlandville; four daughters, Willadean Nerison, San Rosa, California, Hazel Spicer, Antioch, California, Letha Mathews, Drumright, Oklahoma, and Peggy Gibson, Shawnee, Oklahoma; two sisters, Marie Highbarger and her husband, Harmon, Springfield, and Lelia Hood and her husband, Edd, Nixa; twelve grandchildren; several great- and great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. today, Wednesday 26, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Deverett Butrick officiating. Burial will be in Highlandville Cemetery.
