PAMPA - T. Howard Lockhart Sr., 90, died Saturday, July 19, 2003.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with Glen Walton, minister of Bell Avenue Church of Christ in Amarillo, and Fred Anderson of Amarillo officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mr. Lockhart was born April 22, 1913, in Higgins and was reared on family ranches near Higgins and Pampa. He attended Amarillo schools and was a 1932 graduate of Amarillo High School.

He married Margaret Davis on June 26, 1932, in Clovis, N.M. He was the son of Panhandle pioneers Charles Howard "Carl" Lockhart Sr. and Elizabeth Mariah "Lizzie" Kennison Lockhart.

He was a longtime Gray County resident with ranching interests in Hemphill County and Beaver County, Okla. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Pampa Country Club and was an avid golfer.

He was preceded in death by his wife on Jan. 3, 2000; four brothers, Bob, Carl, Ben and Albert Lockhart; and a sister, Murl Kenyon.

Survivors include two sons, Tom H. Lockhart of Pampa and Bill Lockhart and wife, Laura, of Dallas; a granddaughter, Logan Lockhart of Dallas; and several nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church, 203 N. West, Pampa, TX 79065; or to Pampa Senior Citizens, 500 W. Francis St., Pampa, TX 79065.
