Service for Mrs. Minnie Walker of Centralia, Ill., was held this afternoon at the New Bethel Baptist Church, east of Pocahontas. The Rev. Delbert Bishop of Morley, officiated, assisted by the Rev. Johnny Clements, church pastor. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Walker, 87 years old, died Sunday night in a Centralia hospital. The former Miss Bishop was born Jan. 22, 1890, at Neelys Landing. She was married to Monroe Walker, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Walker was a member of a Baptist Church in Alton, Ill.
Surviving: daughters, Mrs. Violet Edwards, Centralia, Mrs. Pearl Fowler, St. Louis, and Mrs. Jean Walker, Grafton, Ill.; sisters, Mrs. Andrew McClard, Jackson Route 4, and Mrs. Ann Cotner, St. Louis, and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
