Julie E. Holloway, 64, of Denning died Tuesday, June 14, 2011. She was born Sept. 22, 1946, in North Carolina.

She was formally employed by F.H.A. and was the widow of Don Holloway.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Houston Cemetery in Alix under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

She is survived by two sons:
Matthew Holloway of Fort Smith, AR
D. Michael Holloway of Denning,AR
One brother, Robert Nelson of Talladega, Ala
Six grandchildren

A Denning woman injured in the May 25 tornado that stuck that community has died, according to Franklin County authorities.

Sheriff Anthony Boen confirmed Wednesday that Julie Holloway, 64, died Tuesday at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith.

Boen said the woman suffered broken bones and internal injuries when the May 25 tornado struck her mobile home in Denning. He said Holloway is the mother of a Fort Smith police officer.

Fort Smith Police Department spokesman Sgt. Daniel Grubbs said Cpl. Matthew Holloway has been with the department for 21 years.

Julie Holloway is the third Franklin County storm victim. Also killed were Melissa Cheryl Jackson, 42, of Etna and Teena Denise Evans, 35, of Denning.
