PORT ORANGE - Kay L. Gann, 86, of Wood Street, a union painter before his retirement in 1981, died Sunday at home.
Mr. Kay Gann was born in Bartlett, Neb., and moved here from Tennessee in 1945. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Port Orange and enjoyed fishing, gardening and red roses.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Carrie; three daughters, Janice Winzens, Port Orange, Paula Davis, Jacksonville, and Gerri Turnage, Orlando; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Lohman-Daytona, Daytona Beach, is in charge.

Note of Clarification: Kay Leburn Gann was actually born in Hamilton, Marion County, Alabama to William Joshua "Jesse" Gann and Margaret Annie "Mollie" Logan Gann. He married Carrie Mae [LNU] in August 1938 in Marion County, Alabama. He was in Palm Beach County in 1945. He and Carrie Mae were divorced 1 Sep 1971 in Volusia County, Florida.
