Dotty Kay Lewis, 62, formerly of Downing, Missouri died late on Wednesday, May 3, 2001 at the Boone County Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

The daughter of Estille Roscoe Lewis and Opal Marie (Maize) Demeter, she was born in Downing, Missouri March 22, 1939.

Dotty was a homemaker, a member of the Happy Homemakers Civic Club and loved to bowl. She was a member of the Downing Christian Church of Downing, Missouri. She achieved her high school diploma and also received a two-year accounting certificate.

A sister, Beverly Birk, preceded her in death besides her parents.

She is survived by three daughters; one brother and his wife, of Clay Center, Kansas; five grandchildren and 2 nieces.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday May 6, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster and officiated by pastor, David Barton.
