Robert Bob C. Tankersley age 76, of Highland Haven, formerly of San Antonio passed away on September 1, 2007. He was born on October 30, 1930 in San Antonio, Texas. Bob was a graduate from Texas A & M where after he enlisted into The United States Air Force as an Officer where he loved to fly jets and helicopters. He then met and married the love of his life Josephine Jo Dunaway on February 14, 1957 in San Antonio, Texas. Bob enjoyed life and loved baseball, coaching, bird hunting, fishing, gardening, was an excellent cook, he was an all around great guy who was a friend and mentor to many and loved to help everyone he could. He especially loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Bob is survived by his loving wife for 50 years Josephine Jo E. Tankersley of Highland Haven, Texas, his daughter B.D. Borcherding of San Antonio, his sons Robert Tankersley and his wife Sally of Stow, Ohio and Tom Tankersley and his wife Kathy of Marble Falls, Texas, his granddaughter Hanna Tankersley of Hollywood, California and his grandson Hayden Beardsley of Austin, Texas, his brother Ned Tankersley and his wife Donna of College Station, Texas, also numerous relatives and close friends. Visitation for Bob will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2007 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Marble Falls. A Funeral Service celebrating Bob's life will follow visitation at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Burnet County, Texas.
