Given to us by God on October 31, 1921 and brought home to Him on June 11, 2011. During his physical time on earth, he delivered the message of the Lord with power and conviction preparing for a guaranteed spiritual afterlife in Heaven. The number of non-believers and believers alike he touched and turned towards the Lord with his inspirational sermons are countless. His other passions in life, other than being a man of God, include being a Mason, a member of the Akdar Shrine (Chaplain, Chaplain Emeritus), fishing, and most of all being a father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was a man who loved his country (serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII), but MOST of all he loved God and his family. It can only be imagined the plans God has for him in Heaven. One can only hope there is a pulpit ready for him to stand be- hind and that will be able to sustain his thunderous fists as he passionately drives his sermon home.

He is preceded in death by wife, Shirley of 70 years; son, Richard, one sister and two brothers.

Leroy is survived by: daughters, Shari Ludl and husband Hermann of Webster, Texas and Robin Dunn and husband Bruce of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Michael Heinlein, John and Robby Finnell and Melanie Poague and great grandchildren Tyler and Alexis Finnell, Emma Claire and Riley Evan Heinlein, and Ian Poague.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Woodland Christian Church in Tulsa with interment 3:00 P.M. at G.A. R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Services entrusted to Moore's Eastlawn Chapel
