Anna was the fourth of 7 children born to John W and Katherina M (Sames) Schmitt.
She married Carl George Wichman/Wickman on November 19, 1908 in Minneapolis (Hennepin), MN. They had 4 children: Frances Mildred, Arthur Martin, Evangeline, and Joseph Anthony.

Funeral services were held at 10 am Saturday,. December 22, at Our Lady of Sorrows church, Ladysmith, WI, for Mrs Anna Wickman, 70, native of Marystown, who died December 19, at St Mary's hospital, Ladysmith.
Interment was in the Tony, WI cemetery with the McElravy-Geier funeral home in charge of arrangements. The Rev Alex Anton officiated.
Anna Schmitt Wickman was born June 26, 1892 in Marystown. She moved to Rusk county, WI in 1908 and war married to Carl Wickman at Minneapolis on November 19, 1908. The Wickmans moved to Tony in 1916, and lived there until Mr Wickman's retirement in 1945, when they moved to Ladysmith. Mrs Wickman's church affiliations were with Our Lady of Sorrows church in Ladysmith.
Surviving are her husband Carl, children, Mrs Frances Schneider, Dubuque, IA; Arthur Wickman, Kodiak, AK; Mrs Ray (Angeline) Stark, Tony; and Albin Wickman, Dubuque; and brothers Peter and Mathew Schmidt of Shakopee, and Tony Schmitt, Forest Lake; and one sister Mrs Pauline Vierling, St Paul. There are 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
