Eli Lindley Hupp, s/o Phillip and Phoebe (Johnston) Hupp.

Eli married Jane E. Turner (d/o James and Sarah (Hutchinson) Turner on February 25, 1847, in Jerseyville, Illinois. Their lives together in this world were cut way to short when she passed away sometime in 1848. It is unclear where Jane is buried, and it's possible she passed in child birth, but no documents to prove that. Jane and her siblings were orphaned in 1841 when their father died and were placed in homes. Jane was placed in a Hupp household. Jane E. Turner's sister and family

He then married Minerva Jane Piggot 31 Dec 1848 in Jerseyville, Illinois and they had eight children together.
