The funeral service for retired ladies apparel store owner and operator Dorothy Joyce Moore of Paris will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
Trent Bullock and the Rev. Howard Fuller will officiate. Burial will follow in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday.
Moore, 78, died Monday, June 13, 2011, at Henry County Medical Center.
Born July 9, 1932, in Paris, she was a daughter of the late Colie A. and Dorothy Norwood Redden.
She was married on March 14, 1953, to Phillip D. Moore, who was a sergeant major in the U.S. Army. He died April 4, 2001.
Moore was a member of First Baptist Church and a former Sunday school teacher there. She retired as owner-operator of Joyce's in Paris. She was a Grove High School graduate, a member of the Quota club in Paris and a former member and supporter of the Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Business Association.
She leaves two daughters: Lyndia Moore (Howard) Fuller of Paducah and Leslie Moore (Dick) Overby of Murfreesboro; one son: David Phillip Moore of Paris; two sisters: Karen Redden Rice of Paris and Shirley Redden Wall of Murfreesboro; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a brother: Billy Redden.
