Charles C. Strine, a retired farmer, passed away at his home in Marston, near New Windsor, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock after several years' illness from cancer of the stomach. He was in his sixty-second year. He was a devoted member of the Brethren church at Sam's Creek, having served as deacon and trustee. He was born near Beaver Dam, Frederick county, and was twice married. He is survived by his second wife, who before marriage was Miss Rosa Harris, near New Windsor; by two daughters from his first marrige, Mrs. Carville Alexander, Sam's Creek, and Mrs. Frank Babington, Frederick county; and by two sons and three daughters from his second marriage: John Strine, Medford; George Strine, Mrs. Theodore Brown, Mrs. Earl Green, Mrs. Sterling Ecker, New Windsor; Miss Mabel Strine, at home.
