Jessie Runyon, 84, 1009 W. 13th St., died Tuesday evening in the home of her daughter, LIVING of Springport, after a brief illness. She was a Muncie resident most of her life and was a former employee of Ball Brothers (now Ball Corp.) and various canning factories in the area. She was a member of United Pentecostal Church in Muncie.
Additional survivors include a son, Edward Runyon of Marion; five other daughters, Eileen (Mrs. Royce) Parker, LIVING and Barbara Criswell, all of Muncie, June (Mrs. John) Harmon of Akron, Ohio, and Madonna (Mrs. Frank) Peters, of Westport; a brother, Clyde Minnick of Montpelier; 21 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Edward Runyon; another daughter, Nora Jean Runyon; a sister, Mary Dickerson; and two other brothers, Ralph Wiley and Arthur Davis, are deceased.
Services will beat 2 p.m. Friday in United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Mark Abernathy, Rev. Ray Morrison, and Rev. Ron Perry officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel and an hour before services Friday at the church.
