GALLATIN—Two of Gallatin's oldest residents passed away recently on Silvernails Hill, Bryant Sigler and his wife, Mrs. Everetta Kilmer Sigler. Both had been in poor health, for some time. Mrs. Sigler was the first to die and her husband died exactly 5 days later.

The funeral in both cases was conducted by Rev. Willard A. Kilmer at the late home of the couple. The bearers in both instances were Herman V. Lyle, Edward Funk,
Leonard Hoffman, Jacob Duntz: Barton Finkle, and I. Tompkins. Interments were in the family plot, in Evergreen Cemetery in Pine Plains, and in charge of Undertaker Roberts Sons of Pine Plains. The choir consisted of Mrs. Herman V Lyle, Mrs. Frances Blackert and Mr. and Mrs. Burton Finkle. Mr. Sigler was 85 years old and was born in Gallatin; the son of Harry and Hannah Silvernails Sigler.

Mrs. Sigler was 80 years old and was born in Ancram, the daughter of Abram and Catherine Loomis Kilmer.

Mr. and Mrs. Sigler were married 57 years ago had resided for about 32 years on the farm where
They died. They had previously resided in the Town of Greenport on the Delamater Farm; also in the town of Taghkanic on the Philip Snyder Place now known as the Steuerwald Place; for a time they were residents of the Peter Lasher Farm in Gallatin, now known as Locust Ledge.

Mr Sigler was an industrious and hard working farmer all of his life-time. They are survived by a son Raymond Sigler, Sr., and a daughter, Mrs. Ashley Pitcher, of Silvernails;
Two grandsons, Raymond Sigler, Jr., of Pine Plains, and Ernest Sigler, of Gallatin; two granddaughters, Mrs. Alvah Moore of Silvernails, and Mrs. Lawrence Donovan of Copake Falls; also, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Mrs. Sigler, had several sisters, the late Mrs. Jacob Oysted, of Claverack; the late Mrs. Garrison, of Ancram; another married William Smith, of Rotterdam, formerly of Gallatin; one sister is Mrs. Abram Sigler, of Gallatinville, and another is Mrs. Daniel Kilmer, of Hudson.
One brother was run over by a train at Peck's Crossing, many years ago.
The farm now known as the Churi Farm was well known years ago as the Abram Kilmer Farm. The many relatives and friends of both Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Sigler are greatly grieved at their death.
