Effie was the daughter of Charles "Late" Yancey and his first wife, Mary Ellen Gum Yancey. She first married L.R. "Fate" Cameron on 29 July 1897, and the couple had two children, Ernest and Gladys (Dennis). After Fate died in 1912 she later married Joe Moon. She passed away at the Greene County Farm, having been admitted there about two months before her death. According to the inventory of Gum Adamson Cemetery her tombstone lists her name as Effie Cameron Moon, born 4 February 1877 and died 25 March 1938; however, in this posting I have listed the dates as given in her MO death certificate (which incorrectly lists her last name as "Mooney").
