Charlie Cox,
82, husband of Lillie Lawrence Cox, passed away at 7:54am Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the Clark Regional Medical Center.
A native of Morgan County, he was the son of the late Willie and Barbara McClure Cox. Charlie was a retired Kentucky Wood Preserving Co. employee.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Carol Ann Cox; 4 grandchildren, April Bach, Jeffery Cox, Matthew Cox and Gabby Miller; 5 great-grandchildren, Zac and Julia Bach, Andrew and Trinity McCuddy and Maria Cox, all of Winchester; a sister, Ruth Dunn of Winchester and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by a son, Charlie Edward Cox.
Services will be conducted at 2:00pm Thursday, June 16 at Scobee Funeral Home by Bro. Bill Shumate. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeffery, Matthew and Randy Cox, Mike Means, Zac Bach, Marty Abner, James Banks and Andrew McCuddy. Honorary will be the great-granddaughters, Velmont Hall, Burt Spicer, Larry and Ronnie Lawrence, Clarence Ofield and John Ballard.
Visitation will be 12:30pm Thursday.
