William Parrom Boyles was born 14 Sep 1844 in Alabama and died 26 Aug 1908.
He enlisted during the Civil War on 11 Aug 1861 at Neshoba, MS with the 5*
MS Infantry, Co. B. He was separated May 1865. His first application for a
pension was rejected and he applied again on 29 Jan 1906. Pension #12669
was approved. His residence was Garden Valley and he stated that he had
been in Van Zandt County for one year. He married Ann E. on 26 Dec 1865.
She was born March 1846, died 23 Nov
1928. She applied for Widow's Pension #14468 on 31 Aug 1908. She was living
at Garden Valley at the time and was 63 years of age and was blind.
According to a list in the Texas State Archives in Austin, this widow was
totally disabled. They were both buried at Jamestown Cemetery just over the
county line in Smith County.
