Funeral services were held for Mattie Morgan "Johnny" Blevins, 86, of Lucedale, May 18 2001 at 2:00 p.m. from Sigler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Cumbest and Sheila Cumbest officiating.
She was a member of the Lucedale Women's Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, the Esther Kirkwood Circle and First United Methodist Church. A native of Jackson County, Ala., she died May 17 at her home.
She is survived by a niece, Mary Love Eyster of Decatur, Ala, and a nephew, Morgan Weeks of Langston, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Fred Gordon Blevins.
Interment was held at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro, AL.
