Lois Clark, 63, of LeRoy, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011, at the Grand Meadow Health Care Center, after a courageous battle with colon cancer.
Lois Joan (Johnson) Clark was born on Oct. 17, 1947, to Orel and Lorenia (Prentis) Johnson in LeRoy. She graduated from LeRoy-Ostrander High School in 1965, and was united in marriage to Chester "Chet" Clark on Sept. 23, 1967, in LeRoy. To this union one daughter, Barbara, was born. They made their home in LeRoy, where Lois worked as a bookkeeper at Northern Country Co-op until her retirement.
Lois spent many hours sitting in her front porch, She liked to collect blue Fenton Glass. Over the years Lois kept track of her many friends' birthdays in her birthday book.
Her only granddaughter, Kaitlin, was her pride and joy. Lois and Kaitlin had a very special bond. They were two-of-a-kind when they went shoe shopping or when they were watching movies together.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Mrs Kenneth Kling); one granddaughter, Kaitlin; one brother, Roy (Ann) Johnson of Janesville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Jan. 7, 1998; one brother, Willard Johnson, and sister-in-law, Doris Johnson.
