Randy L. Moyer, Sr., 64, of Stevens, passed away on June 11, 2011 at Ephrata Community Hospital.
He was born in Terre Hill to Alvin and Mildred Moyer and was the husband of Mary K. (Kelley) Moyer.
He was a former member of the Adamstown Volunteer Fire Company. He was also a member of the American Legion and DAV Berks County Chapter. He liked woodworking, making clocks, and camping. He especially enjoyed time with his wife and family.
Randy served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era.
Randy worked as a Mechanic for Mi-Jan Fabrics for 20 years. He also worked at Bollman Hat Factory in Adamstown.
Randy is survived by a son Michael A., husband of Kelley (Mohler) Moyer of Ephrata; 2 daughters Tammy W. Moyer of Ephrata, Laura Palmer, wife of David Hibshman, of Myerstown; granddaughter Beth Krause, whom he raised; a brother Alvin J. Moyer, Ephrata; grandchildren Mitchell and Cordell Moyer; 5 step grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren; .
A viewing will be held on Thursday June 16, from 6 to 8 pm at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 533 Walnut Street, Denver. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 17 at 2:00 pm at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 533 Walnut Street, Denver, PA. Interment will follow in the Terre Hill Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by the Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard.
