Mrs.E.T. Fisher Dies At Lacon
Funeral rites for Mrs. Caroline Fisher, 83 year old resident of Lacon were conducted Friday afternoon, October 25 at the Lenz Memorial Home with Rev. Theo C. Hargreaves officiating at thje services. Mrs Ray Miller was at the organ and Mrs. John Crawford Grieves sang, "Beyond The Sunset." Pall bearers were John Vernt, J.S. Thompson, Emil Knoerle, Harold Holland, Wayne Ehringer and Foster Held. Interment was in the Lacon Cemetery.
Mrs. Fisher who was very affectionately known by her many friends as Carrie was born in Janesville, Wis., May 21, 1874, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Robbins. She married Epley Thompson Fisher in Waukegan in 1892. They established a home in Lacon and kived here for a number of years. They moved to Chicago and were located there until 1935 when they returned to Lacon, Mr. Fisher died in 1942.
Mrs. Fisher is survived by a daughter, Gavena, Mrs. Phillip Smith of Chicago; and two sons, Henry R. Fisher also of Chicago and John Fisher of Lacon; one sister, Mrs. H.G. Walker of Chicago; one niece, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
