Alberta Scharman was born in the village of Rosedale in Waterloo County to parents Adam Scharman & Rebecca Hertel.

She married George Alexander Keil on December 26, 1917 at Freeport in Waterloo County.
Marriage Affidavit #019875.

After the death of George in 1925, she married the 2nd time to Emanuel Berner.

She lived to the old age of 92 years and she is buried with her 1st husband at St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery in Kitchener, Ontario.
