Madison Lee "Peanut" Birchfield

BIRCHFIELD, MADISON LEE "PEANUT," 83, of Shepherdsville, KY, was born August 16, 1925, to the late John Andrew and Lourena Porter Birchfield in Rowan County, KY, and returned to his Heavenly Father January 26, 2009. Mr. Birchfield was a retired heavy equipment operator for Charles E. Canell Company, a US Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, a life member of Preston Masonic Lodge #281 F&AM, life time member of Operating Engineers Local 181, Life member of National Rifle Association and the League of Kentucky Sportsman Inc. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Madena Porter (Daniel); son, Richard Wilkerson (Marsha); seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; other family; and a host of friends. Funeral service will be held noon Friday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Road) with Entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Friends may pay their respects 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Schoppenhorst.
