RANDLEMAN, N.C. -- Ernestine Pigg King, 80, of Heathwood Rd., Randleman, died Monday, June 11, 2007 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro, N.C.
Mrs. King was born May 2, 1927 in Princeton, the daughter of Claude and Alda Bailey Pigg.
Mrs. King was raised in Sandlick. She had worked at Laughlin Hosiery Mill, of Randleman, and was of the Methodist faith.
Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford M. King in 1997 and one son, Timothy Claude King in 1978.
She is survived by one daughter and her husband, Karen and Fred Marsh of Asheboro; grandson and his wife, Roger and Amy Neal of Columbia, S.C.; granddaughter and her husband, Tamara and James Willis of Liberty; grandson, Brandon King of Asheboro; grandson and his wife, Chad and Mendy Holmes of Randleman; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 14, 2007 from 7 - 9 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 S. Main St., Randleman, N.C. and other times at her home.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy. 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with the Rev. Rodney Otwell officiating.
