Eldon N. Adams, 81, Alma, Died Sunday, March 23, 2003, at St. Elizabeth Nursing home, Wabasha, MN.
He was born March 29, 1921 in the Town of Modena, Buffalo County to Otis and Alma (Larson) Adams. On Dec. 27, 1941, he married Mildred Bielefeldt at the Lyster Lutheran Church parsonage, rural Nelson.
He and Mildred farmed in Modena for over 50 years; they retired and moved to Alma in June of 1998.
He spent a large portion of his life doing community services. He was a member of Modena Coop Creamery Board, and FHA director, ASCS County Committee member, Modena Township board for 14 years, Buffalo County Board supervisor for 12 years, Buffalo Electric director for nine years, and a long time member of the Gilmanton Community Club and Lyster Lutheran Church, rural Nelson.
He was always surrounded by his family and a large circle of friends and people he touched.
His family includes his wife, Milddred Adams of Alma; deceased daughter Mary Clark; daughter Sharon (Dan) Mikelson of Yorkville, IL; son, Edward M. Adams of Mondovi; son-in-law Gary Clark of Ames, IA; four grandchildren, Brad (Diane) Mikelson, Bruce (Melissa) Mikelson, David (Melissa) Clark, Cathy (Steve) Steward; six great-grandchildren, chelsea, Spencer, Zachary and Noah Steward, Ryan Mikelson, Jaykob Mikelson; sister Charlotte Priefert of Mondovi.
Friends may call from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Stohr-Hagen-Wozney Funeral Home, Alma, and also from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, June Rieck; brother Robert Adams.
