She was born at Mt. Judea, the daughter of the late Charlie and Daisy Lee Greenhaw Hefley. She was a resident of Boone County for 30 years and was a prior resident of Newton County where she retired after approximately 20 years as postmaster of the Vendor Post Office. She was a member of Faith Assembly of God and was active with the WMC gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Norton; a son, Joe Norton and three sisters.
Survivors include three daughters, one sister, nine grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.
