Robert E. Burns, 65, 1044 West Main, Olney, died 5:10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 1986, in Richland Memorial Hospital.
Visitation and services will be in Summers Funeral Home with Rev. James Giel presiding.
Burial will be Crest Haven Cemetery with military rites at graveside.
Mr. Burns was born July 11, 1921, in Richland County, the son of Cecil and Clarice (Spray) Burns. He married Opal Luthe Simen May 27, 1967.
He was formerly employed by AMF in the paint and packing department.
He was a member of the VFW and was a World War II veteran.
Surviving besides his wife Opal are 7 step children; 2 brothers, Franklin Rule, Olney; James Rule, Manhatten; 3 sisters, Marce Kerby and Mary Alice McVaigh, both of Olney; Margaret Rule, Perry; several step-grandchildren and several step great-grandchildren.
