MRS. SAMUEL C. SCOTT DIES OF PARALYSIS.

Mrs. Samuel C. Scott, sixty-three years old, died Monday afternoon at 2:15 o'clock at the family residence, seven miles southeast of Huntington in Rock Creek township. She had been in failing health for more than a year and serious ill three months. She suffered a stroke of paralysis about six weeks ago and a second stroke Sunday morning.

Mrs. Scott before her marriage was Miss Mary Catherine Gesaman. She was born December 10, 1857, in Starke county, Ohio, to John and Sarah C. Gesaman and came to Huntington county with her parents in 1861. She married Samuel C. Scott August 5, 1880, and to this union six children were born. Two daughters, Nina P. Scott and Mrs. Sarah C. Grossman and one son, Charles W. Scott, are dead.

Surviving are the husband and three sons, John W. Scott of Rock Creek township, Frank E. Scott of Lancaster township and William C. Scott of Rock Creek township. Six grandchildren also survive and in addition the following brothers and sisters: Frank Gesaman of Ft. Benton, Mont., Samuel M. Gesaman of Huntington township, Mrs. D. F. Minton of this city and John H. Gesaman and Charles W. Gesaman of Huntington township.
Mrs. Scott was a member of the Christian church at Majenica.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence with the Rev. Paige of Majenica in charge. Burial will be at Mt. Hope cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Samuel Scott were held at the residence Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. R. W. Page and Rev Ned Beck. Music was provided by Samuel Funderburg, Mrs. John Brown, Mrs. Sarah Heaton and Samuel Palmer. Flower girls were nieces of the deceased and were as follows: Florence Minton, Edith Minton, Norene Scott, Lucille Linwell and Isabelle Gesaman: The pall bearers were Samuel Palmer, Aaron Shideler, Samuel Funderburg, George Alred, John Bowman, Charlie Meyers, Edward Lahr and John Boyle. Burial was at Mt. Hope cemetery.
