Frankston - Funeral services for Melvin Westbrook, 65, of Frankston are set for 10 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. J. A. Griffin and the Rev. James Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery under direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Jacksonville.
Mr. Westbrook died Tuesday after noon at his home after a sudden illness. He was a Henderson County native, a lifelong Frankston area resident, a rancher and trucker and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maggie Westbrook of Frankston; one son, William Donald Westbrook of Tyler; one daughter, Deborah Devance of Frankston; one brother, Floyd Westbrook of Frankston; two sisters, Mrs. Lela Peterson of Houston and Mrs. Pearl Murphey of Frankston; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
