Russian High Jumper. He was very popular in the sport between 1961 and 1964. He won a Silver Medal in the 1960 Olympics and a Gold Medal in 1964. Brumel also broke 6 world records on, June 18, 1961, July 16, 1961, August 31, 1961, July 22, 1962, September 29, 1962, and July 21, 1963. He was featured in the 1970 documentary film, "Sports, Sports, Sports."
