He was inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame in 2003, and twice won Billboard `s Country Music Personality of the Year. A creative genius and first-call voice talent in Houston, Mike was co-owner, with his wife Tookie, of Mike Scott Recording and Duplicating for nearly 30 years. He was the voice of Channel 39, Popeye's Chicken, Conn's, Palais Royal, numerous corporate trainings, and the transporter at IAH airport...among others. A musician, teacher, commercial producer, engineer, sound designer, writer and performer, Mike was also a longtime member of SAG-Aftra. He is survived by his mother Ann, his brothers, his wife, his children Michael (and wife Sandra), Elisabeth (and husband Andrew Lucchesi), Shanna, and grandson Andrew Bodhi Belile Lucchesi.
