Palma A. Moen, 78, Town of Dallas, Barron County, Wis., died Monday, Apr. 14, 2003, at Knapp Haven Nursing Home, Chetek.

She was born Aug. 11, 1924, to Christ and Agnes (Nelson) Amundson in the Town of Sioux Creek, Barron County. She married Ralph Moen at Pine City, Minn., on Mar. 3, 1952.

She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, gardening, playing scrabble, and spending time with her family and friends.

She was a long-time member of New Scandinavia Lutheran Church, Town of Maple Grove, Barron County.

Surviving are sons, Randall (Mary Jo) of the Town of Sioux Creek and William "Bill" of the Town of Dallas; a daughter, Janet (David) Hensgen of New Auburn; grandchildren, Becky, Kayla, Carl, Molly, and Andrew; brothers, Ralph and Jim Amundson, both of Brackett; sisters, Adeline Owens of Alabama; Myrtle (Lester) Horn and Violet Monroe, both of Minnesota, and Nila Steele of Canada; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Nov. 24, 2002; sisters, Olga VanBeek and Alice Haugen; and a brother, Raymond Amundson.

Private family services will be held with interment at New Scandinavia Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Maple Grove.

Visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Apr. 17, from Mark Rausch Funeral Home, Dallas.
