Brent James Roberts of American Fork, Utah, suffered a cardiac arrest while at home and died on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 surrounded by his family. He was 72 years old.
Brent was born April 8, 1939 to Stanley and Madge(Munk) Roberts in Price, Utah. Brent married Patricia Ann Sebree on September 7, 1962 in the Manti LDS Temple.
Brent served in the Utah Army National Guard Special Forces. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Brigham Young University and worked as an engineer at Lockheed Martin in Sunnyvale, California, and EG&G in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together with his brothers he owned Roberts Manufacturing, and Inventive Technology. Brent was also a commercial fisherman in Alaska.
Brent served an LDS mission in the southern states from 1959-61. He loved studying and teaching from the scriptures and served as a Gospel Doctrine teacher for many years. At the time of his death he was serving as a primary teacher, a calling he truly loved.
Brent was well known for his great mind and love for learning. He enjoyed camping and hiking in southern Utah with his family, shooting guns, and riding motorcycles. He loved to entertain his family with stories of his life adventures and to impart his knowledge and testimony of Jesus Christ.
Brent is survived by his wife, Patricia, children Nathan (Tammy) Roberts, William (Kathleen) Roberts, Andrew (Christy) Roberts, Carol Ann (Kurt) Hammond, Lauralyn (Harold) Ragin, Paula (Nathan) Barney, Annalee (Chris) Waddell, Daniel Roberts, Samuel Roberts, 36 grandchildren; and his siblings, Carol (Harlo) Beckstrand, twin Kent (Karen) Roberts, Fred (Marianne) Roberts, LaRae (Brent) Child, LaRee (Roger) Gillespie, Clark (Barbara) Roberts, and Merrill (Polly) Roberts.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the Sunset Hills Chapel , 949 N 540 W, American Fork, Utah. Interment, American Fork Cemetery, 600 North Center Street.
