Carrie was retired from Asheville Cotton Mill and was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church.
She was survived by a niece, Willie Buckner Herron (listed as stepdaughter in obit but Willie was the daughter of Carrie's younger brother William Elbert "Bill" Buckner; Carrie raised Willie); a sister, Mae Capps; and two brothers, Ross Buckner and Ben Buckner.
Services were held on Tuesday, October 28, 1980 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home (Asheville NC), officiated by Rev. Clell Fisher.
Burial: Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
