She was born on October 11, 1920 in Ashtabula, Ohio to Owen and Vira (Hulbert) Jones. About the time Autumn was 19, she met this handsome, wonderful man named Clifton Wood. He was smitten with her but she expressed concern in marrying him while he was in active duty (WWII). The happy couple got married on August 8th, 1944, soon after Clif got home from the South Pacific.
They moved to Riverside, CA in 1963 with their 4 children. Autumn worked for the Riverside Unified School District as an instructional aide.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Bruce; her brothers, Robert and Owen Jones and sister, Alice Knudsen.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Clifton; sons, Clifton Jr. and Larry; daughter, Elaine and brothers, Crawford and James Jones; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 14th from 5-8pm with Funeral on June 15th at 12 noon, both at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer with burial following at 1:00pm at Olivewood Memorial Park. Arrangements under the direction of Acheson & Graham Mortuary (951) 688-1221 www.achesonandgraham.com
