Terri was a member of the Church of The Holy Cross and was active with many activities of the church, including Home & School, and Marriage Encounter along with her husband John. She was a Hutchinson High School graduate in 1968, a Hutchinson Community College graduate, and graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Home Economics in 1972.
She married John F. Schletzbaum on July 21, 1973 in Hutchinson. He survives. Other survivors include 2 sons, Jeff Schletzbaum and wife Christine, Hutchinson, and Ryan Schletzbaum and wife Serena, Kansas City, Kansas; a daughter Amy Krehbiel and husband Dusty, Hutchinson; a brother, Bob Hawks and wife Joy, Nevada, Mo.; 3 sisters, Kim Klein and husband Butch, Tualatin, Oregon, Joy Goble and husband Steve, Olathe, and Debbie Dreiling and husband Pat, Wichita; & 4 grandchildren Zachary, Gillian, Tyler, & William Schletzbaum. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Judy Stucky, and a brother-in-law Gary Stucky.
Mass Of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the Church of The Holy Cross with Fr. Joe Eckberg presiding. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. A rosary will be recited 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, with a visitation to follow until 8:00 pm, both at Elliott Mortuary. Visitation will be Monday & Tuesday 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Speech Therapy Dept. at Promise Regional Medical Center, sent in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, Ks. 67501.
