John W. Miller, a prosperous and well known farmer, died last night at his home one and one-half mile south of Bridgewater, after a weeks illness of pneumonia.

Mr. Miller was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John M. Miller, and was born May 21, sixty-two years ago on the farm on which he died. For many years he had been a member of the church of the Brethren.

He was a member of one of the most prominent families of the county and the news of his death will come as a great shock to his many friends.

He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Fannie Pifer, three sons; Claude A. Miller, who lives on a part the home farm, Oliver Miller ,of Broadway and Warren Miller at home and one daughter Mrs. O. D Garber, who also lives on the home farm, also the following brothers and sisters; M. D. Miller, of Covington; S. H. Miller of Mount Solo, and D. C. Miller, of Kentucky; Mrs. Joseph Glick, of near Millensville; Mrs. Mary F. Early, of Bridgewater; Mrs. Joseph Shickel, of Broadway; Mrs. Mike Early, of Nokesville and Mrs. Van Gundy of Kansas.

Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed.

The funeral of John W. Miller how died Sunday at his home at Bridgewater, will he held at 11 o'clock this morning from the old Church of the Brethren in that town.

Services will be conducted by Dr. John S. Flory, assisted by Rev. William Stevens.
