Richard L. Vernon Dies At Utah Home

Richard Lynn Vernon, 74, Hoytsville, Utah died Saturday at his home.

He was born May 21, 1899 at Rockport, Utah, the son of James and Emma Maria Staker Vernon. He married Annabell Mills Nov. 21, 1923 at Coalville, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized at the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.

Mr. Vernon, a former member of the Hoytsville Ward Bishopric, was a mink rancher and member of the Wasatch Fur Group and Great Lakes Mink Association.

Survivors include his wife of Hoytsville; two sons, Clifton M. and Fay R., both of Hoytsville, one daughter, Mrs. Elden (Barbara) Staley of Rock Springs, two brothers, Ray of Coalville and Joe of Randolph, Utah, one sister, Mrs. Edna Judd of Hoytsville, a half-brother, Rex of Whittier, Calif. And two half-sisters, Mrs. Chester (Dorothy) Blonquist of Coalville and Mrs. Evelyn Juluson of Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at noon at Hoytsville Ward Chapel. Burial will be in Hoytsville Cemetery.

Friends may call at Walker Mortuary, Coalville, Tuesday prior to services.
