Mr. Howard was born July 161897, in Magoffin County, a son of thelate Scott and Clerinda Montgomery Howard, he was a retired farmer and a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ.
surviving are his wife. Mrs. Essie Howard; four sons, Henry, Hargest, and Scott Howard all of York Arnett Howard of Lynn; a daughter Mrs. William Manis of York, two sisters, Mrs. Stella Reed of York, and Mrs. Sam Gentry of Green up; and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ by Rev. Ernest Burgon, the Rev. Harley Johnson and Rev. Eddie Neal.
Burial was in Howard Cemetery at York under the direction of Riggs Funeral Home in Greenup.
