Died.--Isaac Painter, youngest son of Thomas and Mary Painter, born near Paintersville, Green Co., Ohio, April 22nd, 1830, and deceased at his home in Marshalltown, Iowa, December 5th, 1911. He was first united in marriage to Joanna T. Johnson, daughter of Ashley and Lydia Johnson, at West Union Mtg. near Monrovia, Ind., March 16th 1832; they were married by Friend's ___ . It was a double wedding, as Elizabeth R Johnson, only sister of Joanna, was married at the same time to Isaac Jones. On March 6th, 1899, Joanna T. Painter was called to her eternal home, leaving husband and eight children to mourn their great loss. May 16th __ he was married to Mrs. Catherine __ who still survives him, also his eight children by his first wife and four others. He had a birthright membership in the Friend's church. But at the time of his death was not a member, having withdrawn a few years before. But said a short time ago, that he was as much of a Quaker as he ever was. He told his oldest daughter on Sabath before he died on Monday night that he was ready; That day he offered a earnest prayer closing it by saying "All through Jesus.' His faith in Jesus was ever strong and clear.
