US Congressman. He was the brother of US Representative John Chandler, justice of the peace for Bedford, in 1808, a Captain in the New Hampshire militia in 1815 and a member of the New Hampshire State House of Representatives, (1818, 1827). In 1829, he was elected as a Jacksonian to the Twenty-first and Twenty-second Congresses, serving until 1833. After his term, he was an innkeeper and also engaged in agricultural pursuits, until his death at age 93.
