Melvin Boettcher, 69, of Henderson and formerly of Arlington, died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at Sibley Medical Center at Arlington.
Services are 8 p.m. Friday at Kolden Funeral Home, Le Sueur, with burial in Brown Cemetery at Henderson.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Kolden Funeral Home at Le Sueur.
He is survived by his wife, Adeline; children and their spouses, Robert and Deb of Henderson, Dorothy and Robert Kistner of Gaylord, Rita and Tim Renneke of Henderson, Connie and David Zehnder of Belle Plaine, Joan and Mark Weber of Arlington, Debra Weber of Arlington, Janet and Bruce Henke of Gaylord, Wendy and Jerry Kasten of Gaylord, Terry of LeCenter, James of Le Sueur, Sandy of Arlington and Jack of Arlington; 27 grandchildren; one great-grandson; seven stepchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; brothers, Lester (Carol) of Arlington, Elmer of Green Isle; Albert (Caroline) of McGrath.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife; two grandchildren and one brother, Wilmar.
He was born on Jan. 20, 1932, in Kelso Township, Sibley County, to William and Leona (Dose) Boettcher. He attended country schools. He drove a milk truck then worked many years as a mechanic for Poquette Motors in Gaylord, Farmhand in Green Isle, Kester's Garage in Green Isle and most recently at Brau Motors in Arlington. He married Mavis Lange Dec. 20,1951 in Arlington. She preceded him in death in May of 1997. He married Adeline E. Wolter Aug. 4, 1997, at Grace Lutheran Church at Le Sueur.
