Mrs. CLara Binette, 72, wife of Henry Binette of 36 Mechanic Street, died Sunday morning at the H.D. Goodall Hospital after a short illness.

A Sanford resident the past 60 years, she was born July 23, 1886, at St. Fortunat, Que., daughter of Henri and Alphonsine Pelletier Laliberté.

Mrs. Binette was a communicant of St. Ignatius Church, a memeber of Mater Circle, Daughters of Isabella, and The Ladies of St. Anne Sodality.

Survivors besides her husband are five sons, Arthur, Romeo and Roger all of Sanford, John Paul of Westbrook and Phillip of Springvale; two daughters, Mrs. Willie Laverriere of Biddeford and Mrs. Fred Mathews of Berwick; three brothers, Ludger and Auguste, both of Worcester, Mass., and Alphonse of Springfield, Mass.; two sisters, Mrs. Alcide Castonguary and Mrs. Adelia Girard, both of Worcester, Mass.; and 19 grandchildren.

Prayers were said at the Lafrance Funeral Home, Winter Street, on Tuesday morning followed by a Solemn High Requeim Nass at St. Ignatius Church. Burial was in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
