Henry Binette, 82, a longtime resident of Sanford, died Tuesday night at the Webber Hospital, Biddeford, after a short illness. He had made his home since last July with a daughter, Mrs. Willie Laverriere of 252 Pool street, Biddeford.

A native of St. Romuald, Que., he was born July 18, 1888, son of Francoise and Euphemie Gagnon Binette.

Henry was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, and a communicant of St. Ignatius Church.

He is survived by four sons, Arthur, Romeo, and Roger Binette of Sanford, and John Paul of Westbrook; another daughter, Mrs. Fred Mathews, Farmingdale; 23 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Prayers are to be said Friday at 7:30 a.m. in the Lafrance-Boisvert Funeral Home, 29 Winter street. A Mass of the Resurrection is to follow at 8:30 a.m. at St. Ignatius Church. Entombment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
